For Adults

For Adults

Everyday illness, long-term conditions, and stomach and bowel problems.

About

Somewhere to start when you are not sure

"I feel generally unwell." "My health check found something and I do not know who to see." These are exactly the situations a general clinic is for.

The doctor will listen, decide what tests are needed, and refer you to a larger hospital if specialist care is required.

Short-term

Short-term illness

Colds and influenza, sore throat, acute gastroenteritis, bronchitis, tonsillitis, cystitis, hay fever, allergic rhinitis and hives. If you have a fever, please see the fever clinic page before coming.

Long-term

Long-term conditions

High blood pressure

Managed with lifestyle advice and, where needed, medication. Many people worry that starting medication means taking it forever — please ask, and we will explain.

Diabetes

We follow your blood sugar and HbA1c over time and look for an approach you can keep up. Specialist management, such as starting insulin, is referred on.

Cholesterol and triglycerides

The most common finding at health checks. We usually start with lifestyle changes and judge the need for treatment from your numbers and other conditions.

Gout and high uric acid

Treatment for the acute attack, and longer-term control to prevent it returning.

Digestive

Stomach and bowel

Stomach pain, heaviness, heartburn, nausea, constipation and diarrhoea. If symptoms persist, or if a health check has flagged something in your stomach, please come and discuss it.

Health Checks

If your health check found something

Bring the results with you. We will go through them together, arrange any further testing, and treat you here where that is appropriate.

Questions before you come?

Please telephone the clinic on 043-486-0200. Calls are answered in Japanese only, so if language is a difficulty, coming to reception in person is often easier — staff will use a translation app with you.
